A diversity celebrated by the entire sector
Behind the diversity that defines our wines, there are two interprofessional organisations representing the Spanish and Portuguese wine sectors, bringing together everyone involved in the journey from vineyard to glass.
OIVE : Spanish Wine Interprofessional Organisation
The Spanish Wine Interprofessional Organisation (OIVE) is a private, non-profit organisation founded in 2014 by the entities that represent six national organisations representing the wine value chain in Spain, from grape production to winemaking and marketing, with the objective of serving as a tool to improve the sector. OIVE is the Spanish winemaking sector coming together, united by its common objectives. Today, the following organisations from the Spanish winemaking sector are members of OIVE:
Agri-Food Cooperatives Spain, ASAJA (Agrarian Association of Young Farmers); COAG (Agricultural and Livestock Organisations Coordinator); UPA (Small Farmers’ Union).
Agri-Food Cooperatives Spain, FEV (Spanish Wine Federation); AEVE (Wine Business Association of Spain).
The main objectives of OIVE are as follows:

- Defend the interests of the winemaking sector, from production and transformation to trade.
- Adapt production to the demands of the market and consumers.
- Improve the wine value chain by uniting sector stakeholders.
- Increase the added value of wine, leveraging the quality of the product.

VINIPORTUGAL: Portuguese Interprofessional Wine Association
ViniPortugal is the Interprofessional Wine Organization of Portugal, recognized by Order of the Ministry of Agriculture, responsible for representing the entire Portuguese wine sector and being the managing entity of the Wines of Portugal Brand.
Founded in 1996 as a private non-profit association, it groups together associative structures and professional organizations linked to commerce (ACIBEV and ANCEVE), production (FENAVI and FEVIPOR), cooperatives (FENADEGAS), distillers (AND), farmers (CAP) and appellations of origin (ANDOVI).
Through ViniPortugal, the brand Wines of Portugal is consistently present in 4 continents and 21 strategic markets. It annually carries out more than 100 actions to promote Portuguese wines, involving more than national economic agents.
Mission: ViniPortugal is an organization that represents the entire Portuguese wine sector and its mission is to promote the quality and excellence of Portuguese wines
To promote the image of PORTUGAL as a producer of wines of excellence, enhancing the “Wines of Portugal” brand through its diversity and promoting the sustained growth of the volume and average price of its wines.
